Why? Well i am feeling inquisitive. In 1836-38 a family living around Astwood/Hardmead had a child called William Rickett Wright. At this time he was about six. I have three deaths recorded for William Wright two of which i can account for, the last one being, it appears this child. In 1841 the child would be 9-12 years old but is not with the rest of the family who have resettled in Marple, Derbyshire.
So it got me wondering, what event, as if the death of a child wasnt enough, happened? Was it a tragic accident or something more sinister?
