The 1930 Census was 1 st April 1930, suspect this may be Peter Hepburn born 4th May 1930 and died 1968.  SSN issued New York (Before 1951).

Looking at the Armitage family in 1901 - 24 Hamilton Street, Greenock. Renfrewshire. There is a Fanny Ritchie born 1900 Ireland - Grand-daughter - could that be the later wife of William Deatcher  ??? (or just a coincidence)  ???

James Armitage 49  Jessie Armitage 53
Margaret Ritchie 25 David Armitage 19 Betsy Armitage 17 Rachel Armitage 10
Fanny Ritchie 1

Wonder if Shelly might find an obituary for David Armitage in the 11209 Brooklyn Zip Code Area about 1960 ?

It seems that the children born after 1935 called Hepburn on the 1940 census were the children of David Armitage and changed to that surname at some stage.

The "genforum" link above also named some born after 1940

I don't know of any online sources for obituaries in that area & time frame other than the New York Times, and I don't see him in there.
