Have just read your RAMC post - looks good and plan to read further.    Just thought I would mention a link I picked up somewhere which apparantly allows you to look up doctors from wartime BMJ (gives full names, where working, etc and maybe an obituary).   

I, of course, can't get it to work - just don't understand it - however, to someone more computer literate it may be useful - it is http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov.   

If anyone manages to get it to work please tell me how as I want to look up someone.    If it really doesn't work perhaps it should be removed.

According to the home page...

PubMed is a service of the U.S. National Library of Medicine that includes over 17 million citations from MEDLINE and other life science journals for biomedical articles back to the 1950s. PubMed includes links to full text articles and other related resources.

So not much use to us I'm afraid ...I think

My ancestor was in the 'HH Res RAMC'
Can anyone tell me what that regiment of the Royal Army Medical Corps was?
Have tried googling it, but nothing satisfactory came up.
BOARDMAN: Lancashire
