John Day

Hello all,

I've traced my ancestor John Day back to a marriage to Harriet Warren at St. PAncras in 1826. Later census records give his place of birth simply as Somerset, with no hint of a specific parish.

Can anyone suggest a way of narrowing down exactly where in Somerset he was baptised? Or is it simply a case of going through the parishes one at a time until I find him?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Quite a lot of options on the FreeReg site in Somerset - perhaps you'll be able to narrow it down looking at children's names etc,.
