Hi,

I am trying to locate Anthony George WILSON and his descendants, if any. This is the information I have:

Name: Anthony George WILSON
Parents names: Thomas Wilson and Elizabeth Nolan.
Place of Birth: Edgeworthstown, Co. Longford, Ireland
Year of Birth: 1895/1896.
Year emigrated to Australia: 1913/1914.
Port of embarkment: don't know for sure (perhaps London).

I know that this is very little information, but I would be very happy to receive any help in this matter.

I dont have further access so i have no idea if either of these are your fella. There are a few Anthony George Wilson's. I couldnt find a death index in NSW or QLD but then your fella may have still been alive at the online cut off dates.

I did find his parents but not much about him.

1972 - Anthony George Wilson living in Melbourne, with Margaret Ann Wilson. (7/121 Grattan St)
1977 - Anthony George Wilson living in Melbourne, with Elizabeth Anne Wilson ( 26/141 Grattan St)


I checked the 1980 ones
Shortland NSW - Anthony living with Joan Isabelle Wilson and Leslie John Wilson
Diamond Valley VIC, Anthony living with Elizabeth Anne Wilson

Appart from these two Anthony George Wilson's (one in Shortland, NSW and the other in Diamond Valley, VIC), do you know if there are any others in Australia? Do you have any idea of how could I trace these two fellas or their descendants? I am sorry for so many questions, but I am totally new in searching family history and any indications would be very well received.

He well might be the person I am looking for. I can confirm that his parents were Thomas Wilson, 1839 - 1913 Edegeworthstown, Co. Longford, Ireland and Elizabeth Nolan 1855 - 1929?. He also has the same name: Anthony George Wilson.

I think Melbourne was an usual port of disembarkment from London. And in 1980 he would be about 85 (a few in the family have reached 90 or even more). And, if by 1980 he was living with his daughter, he well might have named her as his mother: Elizabeth).

Everything seems to fit but, how could I confirm that he is the person I am looking for?
