St Cross's Church Ashton New Road, Clayton,m/c. Several graves
« on: Saturday 03 August 13 23:46 BST (UK) »
Hi, I have quite a few graves I need finding. If anyone can take the pictures of these graves I'd be very grateful.
James Stuttard (d.1927)
Henry Edward Hilditch (d.1931)
Elizabeth Ann Stuttard (d.1940)
Hannah Maria Horrocks (d.1888)
Joseph Cottrell (d.1934)
Irene Cottrell (d.1917)
Robert Parrott (d.1903)
Lily Gibbins (d.1923)
John William Burns (d.1912)
Harriet Edna Lomas (d.1946)
Eric Lomas (d.1924)
Arthur McLay (d.1917)

I was only looking for Henry E Hilditch when I looked and I couldn't find him after a half-hour search.

Hi

Have you confirmed that there are headstones on these graves otherwise there is nothing to take a photo of.  Also - without a headstone or a plot number it makes it difficult to find a grave

I'm only getting the names off the burial registers on Ancestry, and they didn't supply me with any grave references. I know how hard it is trying to find them, don't worry if you aren't up to looking.

I know for a fact the Cottrell graves are there as I remember seeing them last time I looked, before I knew they were related to me.

There's no transcriptions available though, it looks like I'll just have to wait until I go next time.

Why not register on the site and then post a message asking if the transcriptions were done and where they can be viewed.  They were supposed to be doing them 4yrs ago so they must be somewhere

Hi
The church burial registers are on www.familysearch.org.uk

For example

Joseph Cottrell April 25th 1934 92 Bank Street aged 56

There is a number at the side of the record 523- could this be the grave number?

It might help with the search

Heather
