John Morris Born 1806-1813? Warren or Carew?
« on: Monday 05 August 13 15:10 BST (UK) »
I have been researching my father's side of the family and a bit stuck. Hoping someone can help me?

I have the name of my great great great great grandfather as John Morris ( I know he married Jane Dawkins in 1827 at Warren church and I do have a copy of 1841 & 1861 census ) no luck with 1851) and know he was living with his son William in 1861 but no sign of his wife Jane?)

I have two queries - what happened to Jane? can't find a death?

Secondly, would love to find more out about John's parents?

Any help would be very welcome ;D

Thanks

I think the 1851 census is ref  2476  532  3.
There is an 87 year old Jane Dawkins, not described as mother in law,but otherwise the family looks right?
John Morris would have to be born earlier than 1813 if he married in 1827 surely?
Jane Morris died in 1859 aged 53.

Roger

Had a quick look around whilst at the R.O. today.
+ John Morris was baptised at Carew in 1805.
+ Jane Morris was buried in 1859 at Warren aged 53 years
+ (Part page lost) ..ne Dawkins daug of Lewis Dawkins by his wife baptised 20 Oct 1805
+ Lewis Dawkins married Jane (X) Edwards at Bosheston 26 Jul 1789
+ William Morris married Hester Evans in March 1851

Many thanks Orielbenfro - your research is fantastic and has 'confirmed' my suspected findings. That's great.

I am so grateful to you  ;D
