No August Meeting and the Bromsgrove Apprenticeship Index
« on: Monday 12 August 13 14:30 BST (UK) »
Hi Folks,

Please note we have no meeting this Tuesday (13 Aug 2013)!

To keep you happy we are pleased to announce another new free searchable resource on our website: the Bromsgrove Apprenticeships Index.  This index lists around 1500 apprenticeships entered into with employers/masters within the Bromsgrove jurisdiction between 1637 and 1813.  It covers apprenticeship papers found in the parish chest of St John's Church, Bromsgrove as well as names from the Churchwardens account books.  This new index includes some entries not included in the larger Worcestershire Apprenticeship Index held at the Hive. Note: Bromsgrove-born apprentices indentured to masters elsewhere may be found in this Worcestershire Index.

To access this index, you must login at

http://www.bromsgrovebmsgh.co.uk/

and follow the link in the 'Resources' box on the lefthand side. These transcripts have been kindly produced by volunteer Bob Lampitt with assistance from Jenny Townshend and Emma Townshend.

You do not have to be a member of the BMSGH to use the site, but it helps, however you MUST register first, including matching the pictures.
