Marion Smith's death notice says she is sister to Jessie McCall of Yahl Mt Gambier.

This seems to be death of Jessie's husband John McCall http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article78102841 in 1940

From http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article78102841 Jessie McCall died in 1955, relative John [DH = deceased husband], registered at Grey reg 833/6265

Noells, Rosball and Cando

Outstanding results folks. Way beyond my expectation of what was possible when I first started looking for these ancestors. I did some updating of my family tree at the weekend and include the two pdf's of the newly extended Laing family and Murdoch Macdonald family.

Cando this is the same pdf I sent before, except I opened it on my Windows Vista computer and saved it again there. Maybe it will work for you this time. If not, please let me know and I'll convert them to Jpg's and resend.

I have Outer Hebrides files for North and South Uist, Barra, Harris and Lewis on a CD. They include Census 1841, 1851, 1861, 1871, 1881, 1891 (Index and Returns) and an incomplete set of OPR for the Church of Scotland and RC Churches on some of the islands with birth and marriage records from about 1821 or earlier in some cases. Nothing into the 1700's unfortunately. They are in PDF and Excel spreadsheet format and not complete (some are corrupted files, others are missing altogether.) It is about 358MB in size, too large to email as an attachment. If anyone is interested, let me know and we will try to arrange something.

Ken

Noells et. al.

Big difference in ease of research with the cable broadband now in the house.

If anyone wants to see my efforts to date, you can find my complete tree at:

www.macfamilytree.com/K I M Cameron/Cameron Knotts Family/index.html

It offers a downloadable GEDCOM file on the home page (or should, if I did it correctly).
Feel free to browse or download as you require.

Please note the spaces and capitalisation in the above URL. They are important.

Kind regards to all
Ken

Cando, Noells and Rosball,

A final update on how your help enabled me to progress my family tree research in the Australian branch. When I first contacted you all through Rootschat I had 1610 people in the tree. I now have 1875 people. About 90% of that increase are Australian relatives gleaned from all the sources and original names you guys found for me. It was further helped by the unusual surnames I had to trace. Some of these were Bigham (originally from Ayrshire, Scotland), Gladigau and Sage to name but a few.
Once again, many, many thanks for your time and effort, I really do appreciate it. and my tree is still available on line at the web address I gave before if you wish to copy any or all of it and the resources I uncovered.
Kind regards
Ken Cameron
