Need help searching for the Shadwell family.

Hello everyone. I am in desperate need of help searching for my grandmother's family. I know that her Grandfather's name was Charles Shadwell and i have since found out that he was married to a Sarah Hook. I also know that my grandmother's mother was named Ellen Rose Louise Shadwell and that she married Edward Hanify in Ontario Canada sometime after the turn of the century. I am mainly looking for more information about Charles and Sarah and their lives in England. And also possibly some distant relatives if there are any still around. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

A Charles Shadwell married Sarah Hook in the Portsea Island Registration District, Hampshire in the September Quarter 1893.  The birth of an Ellen Rose L Shadwell was registered in the same district in the December Quarter 1895. 

The 1901 census has:

The Old Priory, Portsmouth
Charles Shadwell, Head, Mar, 29, Carpenter born Devizes Wiltshire
Sarah, Wife, Mar, 30, born Alderney, Channel Islands
Fredk, Son, 7, born Portsmouth
Ellen, Daur, 5, born Portsmouth
Cecilia,, Daur, 6 months, born Portsmouth

Is this the correct family?

It seems to be all of the information matches up. With one slight change. After doing a google search (how i found this site) I had noticed another member looking for the same family and someone had posted information pertaining to a ships manifest that the family traveled on heading to Canada. In that Charles is listed as a Laborer however here he is listed as a Carpenter. I assumed that Laborers were men without a trade.

Looks like it was the right Family.
Cecilia Freda J Shadwells' Birth is Reg Oct 1900 Portsmouth, Hampshire
Ellen Rose L Shadwell's Birth was Reg Oct 1895 Portsea Isaland, Hampshire
Cecilia Freda Shadwell married Wm Edward Davies in Canada

Now that is some new information. We never knew Cecilia also married an Edward. Albeit a William Edward. Do any of ya'll know if there is a way to find out more about Charles' family?

Yes, I can follow them back on Census but its late here in Oz..

1861 Census Charles' Father JOHN is born c 1826 Shipton, Hampshire (occp Groom/Gardener) is Married to a ELIZA
By 1871 Married to a ANN/E M and Charles is not yet born.
