Hi, can any one help at all, trying to get info on the above, info on birth ,  His wife Mary Ann Goulden DOB 1839, marriage date 8/3/1859 in Prescot Lancashire.

Any ideas ???

You might be able to get his father's name and occupation from his marriage certificate but you need a more exact location in Ireland than 'Roscommon' to see if any church baptismal records survive.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

James, my family is from County Roscommon, specifically the townland of Lisseevin right next to Ballyfarnon in the northwest region bordering Sligo. My great, great grandfather Patrick was born to Edward Tobin in 1859, who owned the land there. Although I have yet to find anything related to Edward's birth, it's possible that he may have been born around the same time that Michael was. If you want to look up birth records the parish is Kilronan.

Trying to find Tobins in Roscommon is akin to the needle in a haystack expression given the sheer size of the county, but I wish you luck and I hope you find this information useful!
