I am looking for members of the Power family in Northern Ireland.  I have (James) Patrick Power b. 1650 in Londonderry, d. 1730 in Down.  Also his son Patrick Power b. 1692 in Monaghan, d. 1777(?).
Married Elizabeth Strickland b.1735. Their son was Patrick Power b. 1720 Co. Monaghan, d. 2/7/1765.  Married to Jeanette ____. Their son Rev. James Power DD b. 1/27/1746 in Chester PA., US Colony, d. 8/5/1830 in Westmoreland, PA, USA. He was a Presbyterian minister. He married Mary Tanner. Most Power families came from Waterford, and I believe were Catholic.  If you can fill in any of the blanks, I'd appreciate it.

Hi, yes l understand many of the Power folk were R/C as were mine.
It's difficult with a common surname and lots of 1st name duplications.
I will keep your names in mind, people moved areas more than we give them credit for.
Funnily enough l did a dna on ancestry and one of my area's for Ireland was Mohegan.
