I used to live at The Priory and it was definitely built in 1166,the previous owner Mrs Dyson had heaps of documents rgarding it. And the walls were indeed 3 foot deep in the older part of the building

Would you be the daughter of Mr and Mrs Tomkins? who lived in "The Priory" 1977-81.
I'm very glad to hear from you and to learn that Mrs Dyson had many documents relating to the Priory and its foundation in 1166. Would you know where they are now?
I believe her husband R A Dyson bought the house in 1947 and lived there for the rest of his life.
I think her son Tim Dyson may still be alive and living in the area. Do you have his contact details?
