1841 & 1851 Lookup please - Mathews - Lavernock

Hi

Hope someone can help. I am researching my husbands family who lived in the Lavernock area of glamorgan (near Cardiff). The information I have is :

Richard Mathews - born about 1783 Newent Glos.
I believe he married a Mary David? born about 1811. They had at least one son named Charles Mathews (my husbands GG Grandfather) born in 1847. I've had no luck so far trying to trace a birth certificate for Charles or a marriage certificate for Richard and Mary, so thought I'd try the census.

Any information relating to the family would be greatly appreciated

Also, checking through found the following marriage:

Richard Mathews of St Georges Parish married Mary David (Brides parish unknown) at St Georges 10th March 1833.

I believe the St George referred to is St George-super-Ely. Info can be found here
