Seems he 'lost' 10 years off his age as he is the same age on the 1901 and 1911 ;D

A it seems his mother is too

Saw the message, then went off to try and make head or tail of it !  ;D ;D

I think his age was initially written as 37. It looks like the ages were written in the wrong
column and it's been carried forward wrongly.

The marriage and the death I know are correct, all I can think is he ( and his mum between 1891 and 1901) lied/got confused about their ages as 1901 and 1911 he is the same age.

In the parish book on his marriage he wrote 39yrs in 1921 which would mean he was born in 1882, not 1872 but maybe because Hilda his wife was born in 1892, 10 years older 'looks' better than 20 years.
His mum died in 1935 aged 91yrs, so 1844 born

It is the correct person as I 'recognise' ( have heard) the names of  his bother and sister and who they married,

Thanks Pels no I didn't see that. I know when and where he is buried, but only knew Hilda and her two 'children' ( who were older than my parents)
