How many stars...?
« on: Monday 16 September 13 15:11 BST (UK) »
How are the stars/designation on our profiles categorised? I understand it's linked to the number of posts we've made, just wondered who came up with the different levels/names.

I seem to be a 'veteran' - makes me feel like an old car, or a retired soldier!  :P

Just asking.......  ;)

James Stott c1775-1850. James was born in Yorkshire but where? He was a stonemason and married Elizabeth Archer (nee Nicholson) in 1794 at Ripon. They lived thereafter in Masham. If anyone has any suggestions or leads as to his birthplace I would be interested to know. I have searched for it for years without success. Thank you.

Thank you, davidft  :)

(I'd just noticed I'd changed to 'veteran' and wondered why!)

I'd prefer something a bit less upper-crusty than 'aristocrat.'
