Hi all,

I am hoping there are some Italian experts on here who can please help in translating this 1877 birth record for Alfonso Tamburro.

The full resolution version is at:

Alexander, here is the translation:

Year 1877 on the 9th of August at 9:04 AM in the Town Hall in front of me Anciato (sp?) Venturini, mayor and official of the county of Settefrati, there appeared Michele Tamburro, age 28, farmer, living in Settefrati, who declared that at 11:00 PM of the 5th of the current month in the house at No. 1 Camporeale St., from Restituta Vitti, his wife, farmer, residing with him, was born a male child whom he has shown me, and to whom he gives the name Alfonso.

For this act were present the witnesses Francesco Lezima (sp?), age 51, farmer, and Antonio Vitti, age 50, farmer, also living in this county.  This act was read to all those present who did not sign because they are illiterate.

Hope this helps you out.
