The Tasmanian Registry does not have any records online.

Ancestry has an index only of Australian bdm's.

A number of us have other resources which may give you the ages of the bride and groom, the full date and place of the marriage and a registration number.

I also suggest searching the digitised newspapers on the National Library of Australia website as you may be lucky to find a marriage notice in one of the Tasmanian Newspapers of the day.

Wonderful however the records do not appear to have the same coverage as the CD Indexes.

Hi Cando I have been told all the records are there from the CD`s as you need the Reg numbers to actually help find the record you are searching for but I haven`t a clue of how to find what I`m looking for.It too confusing for me

Thank you Cando and Johngirl for the links and advice. Over the last couple of days I have had some wonderful help from coco regarding the person I was looking for, and these links have helped complete the search for family.
