cardiff Irish club 1920-30s

my  grandfather was the well known steward of the Irish club in Cardiff. I think that it was in Herbert street but am not sure. He was well enough known to have a large obituary in the South Wales Echo in 1934.Does anyone know anything about this club? All elderly relatives deceased or too young when their father died to remember it. He was William Hayward Coopey.Any info or look up sources gratefully received. CCR
