James schofield
« on: Wednesday 25 September 13 10:19 BST (UK) »
Hi

I have been researching the soldiers named on the local church war memorial,Denton St Lawrence.

I have managed to find details on all but 2 of them.

I cannot find a grave for James Schofield.

Several of the soldiers on the memorial joined the Canadian Army and I wondered if this was the case with Joseph.

All I know is that he  had a connection with Denton Manchester.

I wondered if anyone could give me any ideas of where to look.

Thank you

Heather

Many thanks Lynette.

I have checked those but am not able to make a link with Denton for any of them.

I have now managed to locate James's information.
He was in the Royal Marine Light Infantry and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Washington.
