St. Vaugh's Chapel, Carne or Carnsore, Co. Wexford
« on: Saturday 28 September 13 18:50 BST (UK) »
Greetings Listers,

Are there any records available for burials in the above-captioned? My interest is piqued by the following, quoted (bolding is mine) from "A Topographical Dictionary of Great Britain and Ireland", Volume 1, John Gorton, 1833.

The ruins of St. Vaugh's chapel, in the cemetery of which shipwrecked mariners alone have been interred for ages past stand in this parish.

Cheers,
Westoe

There are three or four names mentioned in Brian Cantwells Memorials for Wexford as well as some of the ships involved. It is named there as St Vogue's.

Thank you, Culbaire. (Rueful smile). Three or four names? I was hoping for dozens. Still ... some is better than none. I do appreciate your help.

Cheers,
Westoe
