Sussex Rootschatters Meet
« on: Sunday 29 September 13 23:34 BST (UK) »
Hi All

It has been suggested to me by several rootschatters that its about time we had another meet, possibly in Mid Sussex somewhere.

I think that the new East Sussex Record Office called "THE KEEP" in Lewes (near the new Brighton Football Stadium) which is due to open sometime in November would be a suitable place, plus anyone who has Sussex Ancestors could do some research.  Take a look on Google to see what The Keep offers   www.eastsussex.gov.uk/leisureandtourism/localandfamilyhistory/esro/thekeep/default.htm
The suggested date is after Christmas when things have settled down a bit

What do you Think?

Hello Chris

I'm new to rootschat (today) so hope its ok to send you a direct message. We are looking for James John Lashmar, wife Sarah,  based in Falmer, parents to Thomas, born in 1831. We spotted some correspondence you had with Kay back in 07. You'd found some references to them.
Are you able to help?

PinkAnne

Hi Pinkanne

First of all welcome to Rootschat and especially the Sussex Boards.

You are going back to messages some 6 years old, can you be a bit more precise and tell us what it is that you are actually looking for.  Its a bit of a waste telling you what you already have.

Good evening,

There doesn't seem to have been much response to the meeting at the Keep. I would like therefore to be the first to put my name in if it's still on the cards. If on a weekday I need a little advance warning because of time off work.
