I would be most grateful if anyone can find information about Thomas Symmons (b. 1843 in Clerkenwell, London) who I believe may have emigrated to Australia.

I think he married Julia Sarah Hartnoll (b. 27 Aug 1848 in Poplar, Middlesex d. abt 1910 in West Ham, Essex) no date for marriage? He is shown as a (Wood?) Engraver (1881) and as an Artist & Photographer (1901) both in Woodford, Essex. I found a reference that he migrated to Perth and became a landscape painter?
He is also credited with engraving drawings by Henry French and Fred Barnard - "The Dickens Illustrator".

His son Wilfred Hubert Symmonds (b. 1883 in Woodford, Essex d. 12 Nov 1952 in Rye, Sussex) was also a photographer in Woodford and Leytonstone, Essex (c 1900s). Any info on him also appreciated.

If anyone has a Australia contact, I would be grateful.

A Thomas SYMMONS died PERTH  REF # 921 in 1928. There is no guarantee that this is right Thomas. But he is only one in correct time frame. If you purchased the certificate it may give correct parent names however these are not shown on indexes and may not have been known by the informant on the DC.
