Some great suggestions coming up on this thread, I am interested in the National Archives podcasts, I will have a look at that.  I find the free Accuweather app to be very accurate.  I downloaded a torch app which proved useful during power cuts on holiday, especially to find your way in the windowless bathroom  ;D.

The torch app seems a great idea.  Will investigate.

I have now found that googling for questions regarding my Samsung tablet brings up websites of instructions regarding various questions with instructions for dummies!

Perfect for me.     ;D

If anyone is having problems with their Kindle Fire it is due to a Silk browser update.  Amazon are apparently aware and hope to fix it in the next few days.

Problems I have had are:
When scrolling the page splits into 2, top half freezes, other half passes over it.
Tutorial overlays popping up
Text sometimes bouncing slightly
Cursor jumping to a previous part of the sentence, adding a space in the middle of a word, and inserting a nearby letter as well as the one I have pressed, and sometimes it moves me to another tab I have open.

It seems to only be affecting the Fire version.
Here's a link to an Amazon Customer Discussion on the subject

Many thanks for the torch tip.  I downloaded the torch plus clock on my nexus 7.

Really useful app.

I did try to find one with a medium beam as I imagined the battery being used up quickly.  Will download candle light as well I think so I have a choice in an emergency

I've been brave and downloaded my first update on my Samsung Galaxy 10....without any problems, thankfully.
