Where did this marriage take place?

I have found several references for the marriage of John Dolton/Dalton of South Scarle to Elizabeth Brettle of Thurgarten. They were married April 3 1700 by licence. One record says that they were to be married at Thurgarton or Farndon. I think they married at Farndon, but I recently found another reference to the marriage which was under marriages at Tollerton.I found these places on a map and Tollerton seems to be somewhat distant but maybe it was a very large parish.
Any insights welcomed.
