one registration of the marriage calls it Banchory Ternan (that is what SP call it, there is no mention in the actual handwritten bit) and the marriage registered in Old Machar, says that Margaret is from Banchory Devinick.   are they very different places?

i have no death year for Bell Adams,  I searched for an Isobel Adams but came up with none that fitted the bill.   Bell Adams was the name given as the other on Margaret's death registration in 1865, November.

Death, Isabel Adam/Leighton, 1871, Strachan, Kincardine.

This could be her.

Two Leighton - Adam marriages in Kincardineshire
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/XT5B-BX6

The above Joan Leighton to Wm Adam 12th April 1783 at Strachan  ::), Kincardineshire.
And-

Above Isabel Leighton to James Adam 14th July 1820 at Strachan, Kincardineshire. Perhaps this is the lady found by Malky who died at Strachan 1871 :-\

There are 2 other Leighton/ Adam matches at Strachan on Familysearch! Obviously popular names.

Looby :)

Hi,
Banchory Ternan parish including the village now known as Banchory is 14-20 miles west of Aberdeen and Banchory Devenick is just outside Aberdeen to the south and west. If you "google" them there are good maps to show their locations.
