Casar......is this an Eastern European spelling ?
« on: Tuesday 29 October 13 08:28 GMT (UK) »
I've found this as a first name....the family MAY be of East European origin. Would this just be an alternative spelling in the UK or does it indicate East European roots ?

It does appear a few times in English vital records (births, marriages, deaths) from 1839 onwards- possibly just a phonetic spelling.
