There is an 1824 will at NLW for Richard Whitfield of Haighton(?),Hanmer.Unfortunately he only names his wife Anne. There is als a signatory James Whitfield. As there is not a James in the list of possible siblings.perhaps he is a brother(or some other relation).

Regards
Roger

The Thomas(1783) may well be the one given as born in Flintshire in c 1786 and living in Overton in 1841.

There is a link from the 1841 Census entry to two Trees on Ancestry showing him as the son of Richard Whitfield and Anne Williams.
