Please could someone help me to confirm how many children my G-G Grandparents had?

I have run a search on familysearch and only one my G-Grandad Thomas born July 1891 in Ayr is showing.

It could be correct but seems odd to only have had one child in that era?

Thomas McCall (G-G Grandad) was born in 1856 in Ayr.

1901 census for Thomas McCall b 1891 Ayr lists him with father Thomas McCall born1856 Ayr occupation Baker ..living 66,Edward Street Glasgow Mother Jane also family Marion born 1879 Girvan, Anthony B 1883, Girvan , Jane B 1886 Ayr , Thomas B 1892 Ayr , Margarita B Ayr .Don't know if this is the same family unless you know occupation of Thomas McCall B 1856 which should be on Thomas's birth lines 1891

Could you confirm that Thomas McCall and Jane Boyle are the couple who married in Ayrshire 1878 and was Thomas a baker?

Hi ,

Familysearch have references to Scottish births in 1881 and 1891 but don't seem to have covered any other years after 1874/1875.

If Jane was alive in Scotland in 1911 then that Census should tell you how many children she had and how many survived to that date.
http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/ is the only source for the 1911 Census

Thank you so much for this, yes Thomas was a baker from Ayr and he did indeed marry Jane in 1878.

             I see you are related to the McCALLS I am related to Margarita father Thomas mother Jane Boyle, Margarita married Andrew F McIntosh 1921 lauriston glasgow he is my G uncle wondered if you could fill in my missing info for Margarita her actual birth date and where she died and did they have any family.
