« on: Thursday 31 October 13 09:52 GMT (UK) »
Hi Rootschatters,   :)  :)

Would any kind person be able to help me find the death of my 2 x Gt Aunt in USA?  ???

She was b Annie Elizabeth Merry 1878 Potters Bar, MDX, Eng to p Chas and Mary Ann

She m James M Perryman 1904 Cambridge, CAM, Eng

She emigrated with her husband to USA 1904 per "Umbria".

She filed for divorce from her husband 04 Dec 1925 but I don't know if this was granted?

Her husband James Perryman d 16 Apr 1933 Oberlin, Lorain, Ohio. An obituary stated he left a widow "Anna Perryman".

She was living New Jersey 1945-
Living 66 Pearce Ave, Manasquan, New Jersey, USA Also another address - 303 Philadelphia Bvd, Sea Girt, New Jersey, USA.

I'd dearly love to find when and where she died and was buried as she was my dearly beloved Grandma's Aunt.  :'(

Would be extremely grateful to anyone able to help,

Pilgrims Progress from Australia

 :)   :)   :)

Hi

This could be her, Finda Grave, death 1957 - the county (Monmouth) is the same as she was enumerated in 1940, in Sea Girl.

Dear Ambley,

 :)   :)   :)

You are a gem! Thank you so much and thank you again! Such a quick response. I think you have found the correct death for my 2 x Gt Aunt Annie. I appreciate your knowledge of  the locality as compared to the 1940 enumeration.

Have tried to access more information on the "Finda Grave" site but can't seem to get any more than the year and the locality.  ???

Would you or any other kind person be able to assist with any more details than I seem to be able to access??

Kind Regards,

The dates and location are all that's currently available on findagrave.com.  It's a site where volunteers post information.  You could request a photo of the gravestone by clicking on the button that says Request a Photo and giving the information it requests.  Sometimes, it can take a while for a volunteer to fulfill the request.

There is a website for the cemetery where she is buried, and it has an e-mail address at the bottom.  http://www.greenwoodcemeterynj.com/about.asp  They may have further information.

If she died in New Jersey, there is information about ordering a death certificate here - http://nj.gov/health/vital/gen.shtml

It looks like Annie returned home and came back to the US in 1909.  The passenger list is available on www.ellisisland.org.
