And in 1901...at 30 Mill Street Walsall

Sarah A Dyke    28 head Buckle Filer b Bham
Lottie Dyke    2 dau b Walsall
Elizabeth Dyke    14 dau Buckle Filer b Walsall

Did Elizabeth marry- what was your mum's name?
Don't answer the last part of the question of your mum is still alive ;D

Elizabeth Dyke's mother was Sarah Ann Benton.

Presumably Elizabeth married and had a daughter who married a man named Green?

In 1904 an Elizabeth Dyke married in Walsall, William Parton and Frank Till same page, but I can't find any of these in 1911.  The key is what happened to Elizabeth after 1901.

Oddly, Abraham Dyke, father, crops up at 16 Francis Street in 1901 - widower! - boarder with three children:  Lily, Minnie and Forrie (Florence) Dyke.

Need a bit more to go on.  You could send a personal message.

Geoffrey you wouldn't be able to send any personal messages until you've made 3 postings and as you only joined Rootschat last night it's probably best if we try and stick to info on the boards at first.

Let's see what Geoffrey knows and can tell us when he comes back online later.
