Help to find my granddads war
« on: Sunday 10 November 13 19:44 GMT (UK) »
I am trying to search for information on my granddad.
He was in the first world war. His details are

Royal Field Artillery
68473
Driver
Royal Irish Regiment
18626
Private
Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers
42943
Private
He was wounded (shot in hip and neck) apparently he was treated by a German Dr.
He was treated in a hospital and carried a photo of the nurses who treated him in his wallet, I now have the photo and would like to know where it was taken.
I would like to retrace his steps in the war

He was born in 1894 in Litherland but grew up in Liverpool.
I have spent hours trying to find out more info but to no avail.
I presume his records were destroyed
