Thank you everyone for your assistance.

I have the marriage certificate for Mary Louise Brown and Thomas Ingram. Married 8 March 1909 at St John's Church at Warren NSW. Mary was listed as a Spinster. Place of birth being Peak Hill NSW, her age was 22 years. But Mary's parents are listed as: Richard Brown and Mary Uriah Wright.

This is what has me confused. Because I have been unable to find any birth connection to these parents.

Their son William Thomas Ingram born 1906 in Wellington NSW. Is my Grandfather.

Thank you.

Jeanette.

Hi Jeanette, Your Richard Brown married Mary Wright at Bathurst in 1878 they had several children at Cowra near Bathurst including an unnamed one in 1883 Ref # 2355/1878. Your Mary Louise may have told a Porky re her age at marriage :-X Some girls have been known to fib about age. :-[ And I sure wouldn't have known where I was born unless someone told me. My BC does have SYDNEY but thats not actually true as it was Camperdown Sydney.
Siblings Born at Cowra include
James 12281/1879
Julia 13256/1881
Arthur 16444/1884 Died 1915
Emily L 18594/1888
Plus the unnamed one in 1883 Possibly your Mary Louise ::)

Your Mary Wright may well be the daughter of Hugh and Bridget Wright who were having having 9 children in the Orange area between 1853 and 1867.

Hugh Wright married Bridget Fahy at Bathurst Kelso Parish RC V1851462 97/1851

The Bathurst Family History Group has 58 entries for the surname WRIGHT in their Pioneer Register  (even more popular than the alternative spelling of BROWNE)

http://www.bathurstfhg.asn.au/index.shtml

It is often worthwhile having a search through the familysearch transcriptions https://familysearch.org/ with simply a surname, the location as New South Wales and limiting the years to say a decade or so and then scrolling through to get an overview of where to expect to find a particular family.

Re the 1909 marriage.

May I please ask for the information on the cert re Richard BROWN and Mary Uriah WRIGHT.    I am assuming the marriage was C of E rites.  I wonder if the cert is showing if either Richard or Mary were still alive at that time. ("dec" or " † " [alt plus 0134]  was often noted )

Cheers,  JM

Once again, thanks for all your valuable assistance.

Assuming that Richard and Mary Wright are my Mary's parents, then this gives me another link to follow on with.

I still need to establish this link with Birth/Baptism records, to ensure I am following the right family line.

Richard Browne & Mary Uriah Wright were still alive in 1909, there is nothing to indicate any different on Certificate.

Thank you

Jeanette.
