Obit/Death Notice - Martha Ann HOPE nee STAPLES

I wonder if anyone can help me please?

Any ideas how I can find a death notice and/or obituary for my ancestor Martha Ann HOPE (maiden name STAPLES)? Martha died 16th November 1923 in Chicago.

There is a UK Probate Entry for Mrs Martha Ann Hope 7101 North Ashland Boulevard Chicago Illinois USA widow died 16 November 1923. Administration (Limited) London 15 th November 1924 to Hugh Robson Sadler Solicitor the Attorney of Clarence Reginald Hope.  Effects £210.15s

Dear Sandra,

Thank you for this. I actually came across this a couple of years ago, whilst in the Probate Office in London. I ordered a copy, but it was just a single page of paper and didn't say more than what you've written below, so I'm not sure what it means. I know Martha was left money in the Bank of England, by her father, when he died in the 1870s, so I assumed it was referring to this. Her son Clarence lived in California, so assume he enlisted the help of a Solicitor in London. Not sure how I can confirm all this though, or indeed find any more info regarding this Probate record. When I ordered the copy of it, the chap at the Probate Office, told me there would definitely be a will included, but no such luck.

I tried checking what I was aware of, including the Chicago Tribune, and I didn't find anything for her.

I'll keep looking, in the hope I stumble across something!
I'm now wondering if something would've been in the newspapers in London, England - considering her son hired an Attorney, because of the money she had there?

Do you know if there is a central record of burials in Chicago?

Martha was buried in 'Memorial Park', 19th Nov 1923, but I can not find which cemetery this is referring to.

Probably Memorial Park Cemetery in Skokie [suburb of Chicago].
