1 Oct 1827, St Thomas, Dudley Staffs, both are shown has Widowed
Witnesses Mary Morgan and John Allen

Form the information from there daughter Eliza christening record 30 March 1828,
Richards occupation is Nailer and the Abode is Horseley Heath, this all tallies with the census records.

I am tying to find Richard's previous wife, and if they had any children

Hi Jean, I have looked, and the only one I can find, is one to a Mary Fletcher but this Richard is a key filer and his abode is Hill St Walsall, also I can't find a Phoebe marrying a Sheldon, I thought a fresh pair of eyes may spot something I had miss

Thanks Ciderdrinker, Richard Stanton was baptised 31 July Tipton parents Richard Stanton and Sarah Blackham, that marriage looks interesting, now to find a death for James Sheldon
