Thanks Kay
I don't know if its the correct way to do it but I've placed a post on the American board asking for help to locate passenger list details?

I really don't know what to make of her birthplace.  It does look like Hyde Park America, but I do have the feeling it could be an error  Will try to post an extract

Hi Kay
You had her birthplace spot on; here is a reply off the American board:
Ann(ie) was born on 13th August, 1879 Hyde Park, Lakawana, Pennsylvania - parents Isaac Williams and Margaret Morgan

Excellent. I certainly couldn't find them on the 1881 Welsh Census.

Cardiff Times  6 December 1902
COLLIERY CASES AT TREDEGAR. At Tredegar Police Court on Tuesday there were three cases against Powell-Duffryn Company's workmen for breach of rules. Mr C. Kenshole, Aberdare, appeared to prosecute, Israel Williams (47), driver of a fan engine at the Bargoed Pit, was summoned for not efficiently attending to the machinery. Mr G. G. Hann, manager, stated that defendant went on duty at 5 p.m.. and when witness went round about 10 p.m. he found him asleep on a bench. Defendant awoke about 20 minutes later, and no entry had been made in the ventilation book for the previous hour. Defendant, who said his rest had been, broken through illness at home and regret, was fined 40s, or 14 days' in Division II.

There's also some articles on an Israel Williams, grocer of Pontlottyn, being made bankrupt in 1886
