William NOTTINGHAM and Sarah MILLS marriage certificate (abt 1858?)

I have searched but cannot find a marriage certificate for my Great Great Grandparents.
Their children were Ellen B1859, Alice B1864, Thomas B1866, frederick B1869, Albert B1871and Ann also B1871. Both William and Sarah were bern in Birmingham Warwickhire, william abt 1835 and Sarah abt 1839.

Yes I have seen this cert before but thought it to be another couple as Sarah's parents i thought were John Mills and Hannah Parker.

Also I have found no evidence of William being geotge William or Sarah being Sarah Ann.

A case of simple name dropping perhaps or is there another certificate as yet unfound?

It looks a highly likely find to me.

Especially with the occupation of "painter", which agrees with the 1861 entry.

And also agrees with his occ in 1871 - house painter

The 1871 has all the children you mention in your opening post so I can't see how it can be anybody else

As you were unaware of his first christian name - perhaps you have researched the wrong person hence different parents

I have always known William and Sarah by these names only. I have their daughter Alice's marriage certificate which shows only those names. I also have a photo given to my Dad by his aunty that states their names just as William and Sarah Nottingham.

William the painter and wife Sarah Ann certainly have a daughter Alice, but the but the christening doesnt tie up with the year of birth you gave in first post?

PS This couple in Nechells aslo have an Albert chr at same Church on 8 Aug 1866, dob given as 10 May 1866, address then Long Acre. Still a painter.
