Can anyone help me in finding any information about my 5th great grandparents please as all I know is the following

Edmund Thrupp born 8th oct 1826  claines Worcestershire to parents Edmund Thrupp and a Mary

In 1871 Elizabeth thrupp nee Rawkin  says she was born in Carlisle Scotland. Married in 1850 in Claines

I'm new to doing my family tree.

What is her birthyear?

Carlisle was in Cumberland - what is her birthplace in 1851 and 1861

Elizabeth seems to be Rankin on the 1850 marriage (FreeBMD).

She's b c 1831 Carlisle (Cumberland) in the early married censuses - loses a couple of years from her age later.

In both 1861 and 1851 she gives her birth place as Carlisle Cumberland so yes your right and Elizabeth Rankins is the one

The date looks about right given the range of dates for children baptised, per Familysearch.

Edmund's head of household in Claines in 1841, aged "50".

With him is a Mary aged "25" - perhaps this daughter:

Thank you Edmund was born about 1791 then that's great so now I need to look for Edmund born about 1791 in Worcester
