"Crack" WARBURTON
« on: Sunday 19 June 05 15:02 BST (UK) »
circa 1880 (+/- 5 years) my grandfather, Peter Burke, was a migrant labourer in Wales. He told my father that he worked at harvesting for a man named "CRACK" WARBURTON, a farmer somewhere in the general area of Holyhead.

I have checked the 1873 register of landowners and noted three Warburtons. I'd like to know which, if any, of these is "CRACK". Perhaps "Crack" is an abbreviation of "Crackshot"

Thanks in advance.
