Hi,
I can find the marriage you refer to but the bride's name is LINTEN. You will find what may be her, Eliza Linten, in Fountain Place Ballymena in the 1901 census.

Hi

That's a great possibility but on the marriage cert it says they are both Roman Catholic but on that census they are Presbyterian could she have changed her religion to that of her husband to be?

Hi
It happened fairly frequently. However I have just noticed that the marriage which I found between Hugh Scullion and Elizabeth Linten took place in All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Ballymena on 25 Dec 1911 and not the 12 Dec as your first posting stated..

A civil marriage certificate does not give the religion of the bride or groom- the only indication of religion is when the marriage took place in a church but that doesn't even mean either party was of that particular religion. Unfortunately, at least one pay site has a nasty habit of taking the religion of the church and then listing the bride and groom as that religion which may not be the case.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Hi

I have been going over all the info I have for Elizabeth Linten and have come to the conclusion that 1901 census found for me in a previous reply is the correct one even though the Religion is Presbyterian instead of Roman Catholic apart from that everything else seems to match up

Here are my reasons why

1: Thomas Linten's Occupation is that of Postman which is the same on the marriage details

2: My Nana Connell learnt sign language in order to communicate with her Aunt RUBY who was deaf & dumb

3: In the 1901 there is a daughter called RUBERTHA age 1 I found her in the 1911 at a school for the Deaf & Dumb

4: Found Elizabeth in 1911 Census with an Aunt & Uncle her occupation is that of Dressmaker which is the same as that on her marriage details

Does anybody else think I could by right or am I just jumping the gun a bit in my excitement at thinking I've found out more info  :D
