Engraved symbol on back of pocket watch

Can anyone help me identify the symbol engraved on the back of this 100 year old silver pocket watch.

It looks vaguely Masonic to me, - but I'm no expert!

I think you are probably right about the masonic connections, knowing about the person it belonged to. The watch was given to him on his 21st birthday in 1910, but I don't know when the engraving was made. There is no square and compass symbol that I can see, which made me wonder whether it might not be masonic.

I was about to suggest that what looks like a "T" actually has a crossbar (V-shaped) towards the bottom so this:
No his initials were AEB.
seems to confirm that these are the person's initials. To be honest, I can't see anything obviously masonic about it - I think lots of people went in for fancy monograms in those days.
