Burial Place - Robert Lennox, Los Angeles

I am looking for a burial place for Robert Lennox who died 25 August 1969, at Walnut Creek, Los Angeles.

The exact date of birth on his death record matches the one I have been researching and his mother's surname, Cummings, also matches.  I am now trying to locate any records that I can find to confirm the data I already have and to find whether or not he had any family.

Along with his son I have been working on this family tree off/on for decades.  Any assistance would be sincerely appreciated.

It appears that Robert Lennox was born 3 April 1913 Michigan according to the California birth index. However, there is an entry of birth for Robert James Cummings Lennox (Alexander) -  3 April 1913 York Ontario. Parents :- John Lennox (Bookkeeper) and Mother Margaret Elizabeth Cummings. 28 Wilton Avenue. Burnside. Parents married Toronto 1911.

Have you tried to locate an Obituary - Los Angeles Public Library - think they have a "Ask The Librarian" link ?

I checked the Los Angeles Times, but there doesn't seem to be an obituary for him. 

It looks like his last residence of Walnut Creek is a good ways away from Los Angeles.  Unfortunately, it looks like the local library there does not respond to obituary requests.  http://guides.ccclib.org/content.php?pid=16579&sid=269311

Thanks for your tips and yes, it seems that an informational copy of the death certificate could be the way to go. 

It's always possible that he is not the same person as the one born in Ontario, Canada, but I suspect they are one and the same.

Your Robert is very elusive.  Checked out the Robert Lennox crossing the border at Detroit in 1945 turned out to be the other Robert Lennox born to James Lennox and Jane Barrowman 11 July 1912. Noticed an entry that wrongly attributed him to John Lennox and Margaret Cummings which you have probably come across.  No luck so far.
