Harriett Ann Willis
« on: Tuesday 07 January 14 21:29 GMT (UK) »
Hi All

Am looking to see what happened to Harriett Ann Willis born 1865 in Polstead. She appears in the 1881 census as a servant to William Aggiss in Layham. Can find no record of her after this. Any help or thoughts appreciated.

There is a marriage of a Harriett Willis to either John Peverett or Henry Wiseman, Risbridge, Suffolk, Oct-Dec 1883 (ref vol 4a - 970).  Layham is in Babergh district which forms the eastern boundary of Risbridge, apparently, so it is in the right area.

Hi Both

Thanks for your replies. The Atkins family would certainly appear to be my Harriett Ann although how she would have gotten to that part of the world from Polstead is a mystery.

                           Many Thanks Again.
