An online tree has her marrying James Dudley in 1900 in Bedfordshire. If this is correct you need to be looking for an Ada Dudley after that, not an Ada Saunders.

Hi again, the only concern I have re Ada is that your mother remembers her to at least 1927, surely she would have known whether married or not?

My grandmother was brought up by her aunt. I get the impression Ada did not have a great deal to do with her daughter. This may well have helped her marry eventually.
