Thanks Muss, Merlin and Lyn 22.  Much as I feel like giving up, it has become a challenge now! I have had the idea this morning of emailing Greg and Sylvia Ray, just in case they can help.  They put together the books Newcastle the Missing Years: Rediscovered images of Newcastle and the Hunter and Recovered Memories Newcastle and the Hunter. I have copies of the books, but the photos that are included are taken from the back and focus on the Honeysuckle Railway Station and goods yards.  You can just see the sign Palais Royale from the back.

Do you know when the era of the playbill is Lyn? Thoughtful of you to post.

Merlin - I will have to get one of my rellies to visit KFC and prize any such images off the wall! ;D  If they have them?! ???

Actually the picture with the Palais in the background and Honeysuckle station in the foreground at least explains to any visitors to their house why their new house (here in SA) is called Honeysuckle Cottage. I still hang out for a façade pic though. Thanks...

I will check out this and any of the others similar before I post to Photo Restore. Though I am sure yours is the best :D  It is a good idea.  Don't you still think it is bizarre that there isn't a good original one?  I do!!!
Hopefully it might still happen even if I get a good restore.

Dont give up what if you put this photo on the photo restore page on here and ask for a clean up

You will need to remove the photo as it is copyrighted.
