Connolly family Portarlington, Eire

Hi RootsChat folk,

I am just starting to search my Irish father's family with little to go on and would like any advice on Irish online resources and any knowledge of what I might be able to find on a trip to Portarlington later this year.

My father was Christopher Connolly born 1912 ( so just missed 1911 census!). I think I might have found his family in 1911 census as search of Irish national records did not produce many Connolly's in the area - so Thomas and Mary Connolly and their 6 children may be the family.

Any thoughts welcomed.
