Chatfield family of Bethnal Green

The Alfred P Chatfield born 1918 Bethnal Green isn't. He is actually Alfred F Chatfield. FreeBMD have incorrectly transcribed from a copy of the original whereas I saw the original at St Catherines. A group of us under the banner of "The Chatfield Family History Society", Patron the late Lord Chatfield, transcribed the 19th century and up to 1925 from the original indexes. Unfortunately FreeBMD, who do a fab job, also make mistakes. His parents were Alfred Chatfield and Ethel M Banks married Wandsworth 1913. They had six or seven children.

I am afraid that they are not the parents of Alfred F Chatfiled noted above
as I have the original birth certificate.

Frederick Chatfield was my grandmothers brother. There parents were William and emily Chatfield. Emily,s maiden name was banks. There were eight children altogether. Bill. Lou Daisy. Harry Mari Emily and Rose.  Freddie as he was called ran a market stall in Romford until he retired. I believe he also worked as a councillor for a time. His grandson has a page on Facebook with photos of Freddie and his wife Winnie.

I know of the relative who is my husband's cousin on facebook. 

Since this posting I have added to the family a lot more now.
