Thomas Cain born abt 1825 in Castletown
« on: Sunday 19 January 14 15:50 GMT (UK) »
Hi I'm looking for Thomas Cain born about 1825 in Castletown, and his son Thomas Cain, no dob, who sailed to Gaspse Canada, and then to Manatolin Island. They are my GGG and GG fathers.
Would like to know more about them.
Thanks,
Bobbi

The best place to look would be www.imuseum.im - click on Family Research.

The problem is that Cain/Caine is a very common name on the Isle of Man!
I looked at baptisms from 1825 to 1830, and found 23 Thomas'!!

When did they leave IoM for Canada?
Doyou have any marriage details for them - even spouses names?
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)
