« on: Friday 24 January 14 11:37 GMT (UK) »
Hello,
Please can anyone give me any information on the family named above. Charles Jacob Moore was born in Newcastle-Under - Lyme 1848.
His brother Edwin Sampson Moore started the Midland Vinegar Company, Aston and his brother was the Clerk .
Charles Jacob married Sarah Mayon .
If there is anyone that has a connection with the name Winifred Ethel Brassington and this family I would like to discuss information.
Thank you.
Mere

Hi

Could you clarify exactly what type of info you are looking for - on their business or their ancestry?

The 1871 and 1881 censuses can be searched for free at

http://www.rootschat.com/links/0ttp/

BMD info can be found at www.freebmd.org.uk

Freebmd/Family Search has an 1871 marriage for Edwin and 1873 for Charles

Winifred Ethel Brassington was b 1886 Newcastle under Lyne and appears to have married Alfred Ernest Moore in 1908 in Warwickshire

Mothers maiden name was shown against birth entries from September qtr 1911 and freebmd shows a lot of Moore births with mothers maiden name Brassington

Ignore the 1932 birth in Leics as it links to a 1931 marriage there

Hello Mere
I am a descendant of Edwin Samson Moore. His third wife Zipporan had one child Florence Ida Moore. She and Frank James Smith came to NZ abt 1912 with their son, (my father) Rex Challingsworth SMITH.
I cannot help with your research but thought I would contact you as we both start from the same root. Any info you may have about  E.S.Moore would be appreciated.
I suppose that we are not related?
Kind regards

My wife, Victoria Robina Wright ( nee Moore) has just written to you by post and trust that you will receive it in a week or so. She is related to Edwin Samson Moore and in her letter has corrected a number of the facts shown above.

If you receive this message, she would like to hear back from you regarding your family etc and her email address is vixwright@btinternet.com . Email may be the better way of communicating.

Regards,

Nicholas Wright
