Hi, I'm not sure if this is an active post or not but I wanted to respond with an idea for you.  We have several MacLeans from Uist (and elsewhere) in the Clan MacLean DNA Surname Project at familytreedna .com.  You would have to test a male of your MacLean line... it can even be a very distant male cousin or uncle, not of your direct line.  If you don't know of any, then we often suggest doing ancestry.com dna test, and building a tree with all the aunts uncles and cousins you can find... ancestry has very cool tools to help you build out that tree and if you did into your matches' trees you can often tell if someone is a recent MacLean who may know of a male that you can test in your line.  Just a suggestion.  Write to us at macleandnaproject at gmail.com.  All administrators are just volunteers with no interest in this financially.  In fact, we OFTEN will recommend tests from other companies as we learn more about your goals and your line.  We have identified clusters in Ireland versus Scotland in various geographic areas and have 3 testees with credible evidence to the chiefly line.  Our goal is simply to learn more about MacLeans from all over the world and ideally to help connect cousins and prove out important lines (even NPE lines) of MacLeans. Everyone who is a MacLean of any spelling is welcome.
